so basically i’ve been just staring at this empty page for about half an hour stuck trying to find out what to write about. Searching for distractions and cute girls in the lab to take my mind of things. However i thought instead maybe i would share my lil twisted world with who ever decides to spend any time reading this. I apologize in advance that these are several minutes of your life you will not get back, however this is a moment we can share together. I’m basically sitting at the back of a completely packed computer lab, blasting my hype machine (jtrizzy) just watching people come in trying to find and empty computer be forced to leave. There’s an 80% chance you enjoy people watching as well, and we both probably don’t have any good reason other than we are interested in what other people do. I mean that’s the only good explanation i can come up with. Maybe I’m wierd, but fuck you, maybe your weird? lol okay im joking but maybe kinda not really. i dunno. We all get lost with envy, lust, jealousy, cotton candy love emotions occasionally spun up with broken hearts. But there’s no map, app, GPS or phone smart enough you guide us through these hurdles and obstacles. All of us have stories to tell, and experiences that only we may ever experience. As we grow older we try to gain a better understanding for things we can’t explain. At least i feel i do, consciously or subconsciously. There are many things that don’t make sense in our lil bubble we tend to call our world. Yet we continue day after day not really understanding why we dream the dreams we do, or really how certain people can portray such evil. I look around at everyone wondering what drives them, what motivates them. What goals do they have. And why do so many people just settle. With everything. With marriage, with their career, even places to live or visit people all the time settle for less. I don’t understand it, and which people could strive to be amazing and happy all the time. I mean i do my best to have fun with whatever i do, and do try my best at everything, or else like whats the point of doing anything. If i could leave with one message it would honestly be for everyone to be happy. If somethings bothering you, or if you have a problem with someone to deal with it and not let it drag on and make you more depressed or stressed. This little TV series were in, with you the main character called life is way to short. Some Shows get canceled early and some re-run forever once its finished. Strive to be the best person ever, have fun doing it and have your show re-run forever!

Social media is taking over! I mean actually and kinda literally. And if you don’t know what social media is, well its probably cause you still use a rotary phone and the rest of the world could care less about you. Harsh but in all honesty its kinda true. Social media is extremely important within companies. It allows companies to become more personal towards their consumers or like-ees. Being on twitter or facebook now gives companies the ability to reach the masses. It also gives companies a large range of information. This part is a little scary however it is usually in the everyone’s best interest and allows the company to make smarter moves based on their demographic. It can also be used as a tool to express and push new promotions, products etc. With new technology booming and everyone wanting the newest best thing, social media is a nuclear weapon of power that if used right could accomplish world domination.
Well not everyone can associate themselves with a swoosh, or with three white lines, and no I’m not talking about last night, but when it comes to personal branding I encourage everyone to be like NIKE and Just Do It. I more than steroids strongly believe, in order to gain any respect or credibility online or in the real world for that matter, you must be branded. And by that I mean everything associated to your craft should be identified to represent you, or better still your brand. Its funny how our brains think. You would be more inclined to hire a commercialized branded company, over one that isn’t. It is just how we are, or have been manipulated to associate products to brands. As a result of not being branded people won’t be able to associate your work, or even who you are to anything. In order to be noticed, and to be able to stack dollar bill on top of dollar bill in your free time, everyone should cut down on following the Charlie Sheen train about to crash and spend quality time figuring out how to brand themselves. There are many different ways of doing this. But most importantly you must brainstorm and come up with how you want to be represented, and what you will stand for. What qualities you, or your brand should posses and what message you want to relay to the world. It is important for people to be able to distinguish your brand, so defining your imagine at the beginning is crucial. Personal branding has been around forever and has become a major topic of discussion recently. With everyone doing there own thing online its tough enough to be able to stand out. So why not brand yourself and start getting recognized and gaining credibility.
With countless blogs to date, maybe hundreds, thousands… tens of thousands.. popping up daily its hard to just pick one. I mean there is everything from crazy tech blogs that show you how to hack your Xbox Kinect to control your mood lighting in your home, to blogs strictly for the purpose of making fun of hipsters (look at this f*cking hipster-www.latfh.com). I know right. So this makes it extremely difficult to actually just pick one. But i gots too. So i guess I’ve kinda dragged this on a little to long, and no that is not what she said so lets just nose dive head first into and empty pool and get right into it. If you have never heard of smashing magazine, well maybe your head should get smashed in. Basically its a blog that also serves as a hub for graphic, web, you name it sort of advice, tips, trends, etc. It kinda a great place to go to when your bored, or if you ever get stuck in quicksand and all you got is your iphone and a couple of thumbs to navigate there totally rad site. Okay fine maybe not in that situation, but if you do get stuck, i suggest you probably check out the tech blog i was mentioning earlier cause you never know, there might just be an app for that. But no seriously its an ubber amazing site and i don’t ever used the word ubber, I think its childish, annoying yet this is an exception to the rule because i strongly believe smashing magazine deserves it. If you haven’t stopped reading by now to check out the site, well you must either really be bored or because your the lucky individual critiquing and judging my ability to stay focused long enough to express in words where i waste my time.
I’ll admit my facebook habit is getting a little out of hand and i may in fact need help beating my addiction. I didn’t think much of it when it first become popular, mostly with university kids who had access to it. I was still experimenting with softer less destructive drugs like myspace and the occasional hit of hi5 which never seemed to affect me in anyway, just a lot of people i knew kept bugging me about it. I never would have thought that myspace would have been a gateway to an even harder drug. Facebook became my it. Every morning I’d get high, throughout the day I’d get constant reminders of what im missing out on, and have to again get my fix. Before going to bed or if i can’t sleep i’ll take another hit. But everyone’s doing it so its cool right? Sometimes i’ll be able to chat with people i know who are doing the same thing as me, at all weird hours of the day. But its getting outta hand. I recently tried a softer prescription drug called Asmallworld which doesn’t even compare to the feeling you get while on facebook. Its just truly incredible and amazing. However we are all constantly under the influence and have to be on it all the time. In Fact I’m on it right now….
